How to make healthy anjeer kheer at home? Here’s the simple recipe

Anjeer, also known as dried fig, is a very healthy food that is often eaten after being soaked overnight. It contains a wealth of nutrients such as zinc, manganese, magnesium and iron. Anjeer is also high in fiber, which promotes good bowel movement.

Here’s how to make healthy anjeer kheer at home

1. Heat ghee in a pan. Then add the sliced almonds and sauté for a minute. Now add the rinsed rice and sauté for another two minutes.

2. Now, add milk to the pan. Also, soak the saffron in 1-2 tablespoons of water before adding it to the pan. Keep the flame medium and bring the milk to a boil.

3. Chop the anjeer roughly and let them soak in water for a while. After draining the water, put the anjeer in a blender. Blend with 2–3 tablespoons water to make a paste.

4. Mix well after adding the anjeer paste to the milk. Make sure there are no lumps in it. Allow the mixture to simmer on a low flame for 10 minutes. Now add the sugar and stir thoroughly. Continue stirring in between.

5. Garnish with chopped nuts or anjeer before serving.
