Here are some tips to avoid dehydration while travelling

A heatwave alert has been issued for people in various parts of India due to the intense summer heat. Office workers are forced to rely on air conditioners since it feels like the temperature is getting higher every day. What happens, though, if you have to travel for work? While travelling, whether in a private or public vehicle, the sun beats down on our skin, causing perspiration, sunburn and, worst of all, dehydration! However, with a few tips, this may be easily prevented!

Here are 3 tips to avoid dehydration while travelling

1. Keep a Reusable Water Bottle with You

When you travel for work, always have a reusable water bottle with you. It is not only safe for the environment, but it also lets you fill the bottle whenever you want. Pick a bottle that you can easily take with you during the day. Purchase a high-quality, durable insulated water bottle to ensure that your water stays refreshing every day.

2. Add flavor to water

Offer yourself something nice for regularly consuming water. Even while plain water is excellent, a slight taste bud temptation may lead you to consume more. For a natural flavour boost, mix your water with fruits and vegetables such as oranges, cucumbers, berries, lemons, etc.

3. Eat hydrating snacks

If you feel that just water is insufficient to deal with the heat, carry a box full of hydrating foods. Water-rich fruits and vegetables such as cucumber, watermelon and leafy greens are wonderful alternatives for staying hydrated.
